Bedroom ceiling effects are extremely popular with people wanting to create a dramatic space. Bedroom ceilings present a multitude of opportunities for artistic expression. There are several ways to use these effects to create the bedroom ceiling effects that please the eye and at the same time appeal to the decorator's sense of style. Bedroom ceilings come in many different shapes, sizes, and materials. Let's take a look at some of these materials and how you can use them to create a bedroom ceiling effects that you'll love.

Ceilings are an easy way to create an effect. You can create an elegant ceiling using tasteful details such as tasteful moldings and carved tiled trim. Be sure not to confuse a decorative ceiling with a wall. These walls can serve as functional space but can also be used to create the aesthetic beauty that creates the "wow" effect we're looking for.

Using a beautiful carved fan-sole or a single ornate piece along the ceiling's edge is a great way to create this effect. This fan sole doesn't have to be straight; it can be made in a slant so that it forms a beautiful arching ceiling. If you're using a wood element, you might consider using a wood paneling that has been painted in white, perhaps with gold highlights. Adding crystal chandeliers with black metal hanging drops is another great way to accent your space.

When combining a bed and a ceiling, you can achieve some great effects. The unbroken ceiling can be created by utilizing a long thin ceiling beam that runs from wall to wall. You can then add this ceiling beam across the entire room, one end at each corner of the bed. The result will be an illusion of wide open space. You can use this same technique to create an arched ceiling. By using short panels of light-colored stock, you can create a great "feeling of wide open spaces."

Another great effect can be achieved by using Roman columns. If you're not too familiar with this style, it's a good way to add height to a room. Simply hang the first two or three tiers from the wall behind the sofa and add the top tier to the wall behind the bed. Hang arches from here and everywhere else in the room. By using varying heights and widths, you can create a wonderful "high ceiling" effect for your room.

One more great effect can be created when you use ceiling diffusion. Basically, this means that you simply attach white strips down the ceiling where it meets the wall. This creates a sort of "hooded ceiling" effect, which visually creates a sense of height. In order to achieve this effect, you'll need to remove some ceiling fixtures. This can be accomplished by removing any knobs or handles and attaching white strips to those knobs and handles using an adhesive.

Wall sconces are another option for making a statement in your room. Use sconces of different heights and widths to hang them from the wall behind your bed. Place the largest of these over your door and windows and between the door and window frames. If you have a nice view, you could position a smaller one over the window that looks out on your yard. These give a nice classical vibe to a room, while also creating a focal point.

These are just some of the many possible bedroom ceiling effects that you can achieve. Of course, there are many more things that you can do. The key is to experiment and see what effects you like the best. Once you find a few that you like, simply take the same measurements and apply them to other areas of your home so that you can create more of these effects!
